The impact to traffic pattern as result of the Duathlon will be as follows:

From 8:45 a.m. through 12 noon, on Saturday, November 15, 2008, traffic along Atlantic Avenue between 83rd Street and 89th Street will be diverted as follows: The South bound lane will be closed to traffic. The North bound lane of Atlantic Avenue between 83rd Street and 89th Street will be open to traffic. Residents will be able to access Fort Story upon showing a driver's license. All passengers over the age of sixteen will be also required to show valid ID. Vehicles leaving the landside between 83rd Street and 89th Street will be diverted onto the feeder road to 89th Street where traffic personnel will direct the vehicles to Fort Story's main gate.

During these hours, the West bound lane of Shore Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic; however, the East bound lanes of traffic will be set-up to allow traffic to flow in both directions. Vehicles coming east bound on Shore Drive will be allowed to turn left onto Atlantic Avenue to access the streets from 83rd to 89th.

During these hours, Fort Story will close the South bound lane of Atlantic Avenue within the Fort. The North bound lane will remain open.
